My chosen war is the Vietnam War. The major players in the war were North Vietnam,South Vietnam,Australia,us . In the war the fights were in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia where lots of lives were taken.This war went on for so long as nationalism and militarism Were a problem. Tactics & Innovations A toxic chemical was called herbicide used in Operation Ranch Hand to defoliate thick jungles and destroy crops.one of the short term crisis in Vietnam war was the Assassination of Ngo Dinh Diem. Diem's death created a massive power struggle in vacuum. The short-term causes of the Vietnam War trace back to the collapse of French colonial rule in 1954 and Cold War anxieties. That made the other countries on edge which in the end made all the countries offer compensation in their areas. In the long term causes. The primary long-term causes of the Vietnam War were. Another long term cause is Nationalism Intense national pride and the desire of ethnic minorities for self-rule. The last long term cause is Alliances A complex, secretive web of defense agreements dividing Europe into two main camps.
